    I am so sorry to see and hear about your market.
    If you’re interested, I would like to create a video to help raise money for the rebuilding of your business. I have already put this together and have further ideas if you are interested;

  3. Really sorry to hear about this. I just walked by DeLuca’s this morning, half an hour before the fire!

    Best of luck in a quick recovery, I’m sure the whole neighborhood will support you.

    Like most “Hill” folk, I have shopped here for years and yes, I’ve had the occassional complaint. But I am sure too-most of us love the store, for its quirkyness, history, style and convenience. Virgil- you could give up, you could just retire! But i bet you’ll be a hero and restore the store. Best wishes.

    I am so sorry to hear of the fire! I have such fond memories of your lovely store. My husband and I discovered it while on our honeymoon in 2001. We stopped in for supplies everyday while there and still talk of what a great market it was!

    I have the fondest memories of De Luca’s, the Beacon Hill customers, and my fellow co-workers. I worked there during my college years in the late 90′s as the cheese guru and then store manager. I’m so saddened to hear about the fire. I hope the store gets up and running soon.

    Best Wishes,
    Maria

  8. Just now I have this horrible notice and I am so sorry to hear of the fire!
    I hope you can flourish again better and better.
    This market has now about 100 years of history and MUST be have a quick recovery!!
    All my family’s story was closely linked to the De Luca’s market !!
    I am grandson of Lorenzo Bartolo Giuffrè (first business partner about 1900) from Santa Marina Salina (Aeolian Islands – Italy) and I had also the honour to personally know Joe & John De Luca simply splendid persons .
    Obviously in Salina I was also pleaced to know Mr & Mrs Virgil Aiello many years ago!!
    Now I am very sorry and I send my best wishes for a new age of great successes to the MYTHICAL DE LUCA’S MARKET.
